Pamba originated in Africa, where it started as an initiative to provide income to women from the poorest parts of Dar es Salam. Among other things, they made high quality colorful bags that were sold as souvenirs.
Pamba is now active in the Netherlands, where people with a distance to the labour market are given the opportunity to develop and build up more skills and social contacts. Pamba not only offers opportunities to people that face difficulties to enter in a job, but also to young professionals. For example, they work together as much as possible with young designers, photographers and retailers.
